A ROUGH GUIDE TO HOW MUCH FOOD A PET SNAKE NEEDS.
This feeding guide was designed with the owner of a new snake in mind, as one of the most commonly asked questions is 'how much should i feed my snake?'
Appetites can differ depending on a number of factors including species, individual metabolism, temperature and exercise, but once you have owned a snake for a while you should have a good idea of the quantity of food it needs to keep it healthy. Until then feel free to use this chart as a rough guide.
You will need a good set of digital scales to weigh your snake in order to use this guide.

Snakes often stop feeding for varying periods of time depending on various factors such as species, time of year and breeding seasons. Once your snake starts to feed again after a break there is no need to make up for it with extra food, just keep feeding your pet snake as normal. If your snake stops feeding for an abnormally long time and is visibly losing weight, consult a vet.
